Love: The Spoken Word

January 3, 2018

I was sick,

Begged for your help,

And you ignored me.

Tell me where is that love?

That you so proudly say,

That you repeat again and again.

Tell me, where is that love?

You complained that I don't say it enough,

But when you're sick,

I rushed to your aid,

When you're in trouble,

I do all I can to help.

Is love just a spoken word?

Just like how you love spoken words so much?

Mere words,

Unaccompanied by actions

Unaccompanied by proof,

You complained that I see your love as insufficient,

But when time came to prove so,

You're gone.

So, tell me.

Tell me where is that love?

That you so proudly say,

That you repeat again and again,

Like a broken record,

Tell me, where is that love?
